01. Using Cotiva

By using Cotiva, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Cotiva is intended only for people aged 18 or older. You must also have the legal capacity to accept these terms where you live.

02. Fictional characters and AI

Cotiva provides conversations with fictional AI characters, character discovery, personalization and related entertainment features. Characters are not real people. AI-generated responses can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate and should be assessed with your own judgment.

Cotiva does not provide medical, mental health, legal, financial or other professional advice, and is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it for urgent or safety-critical decisions.

03. Responsible use

Use Cotiva lawfully and respectfully. Do not create or distribute illegal, abusive, exploitative, discriminatory or threatening material, infringe someone else’s rights, disclose another person’s private information without permission, or attempt to compromise the service or bypass purchase restrictions.

You may use available reporting controls to flag problematic responses. A report does not guarantee a particular outcome.

04. Your content and app materials

You remain responsible for text and images you choose to use, and must have the necessary rights and permissions. You retain your rights in your content. Any permission needed to process that content is limited to providing the feature you request, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Cotiva’s branding, software and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-commercial right to use the app in accordance with these terms. No ownership of the app or its characters is transferred to you.

05. Membership and coins

Cotiva offers optional paid subscriptions and coin purchases. The Google Play purchase confirmation shows the applicable price, billing period and offer conditions. Review it before confirming a purchase. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play.

Coins are virtual items for eligible features within Cotiva. They are not money, have no cash redemption value and cannot be transferred or traded. Benefits, coin requirements and offer availability are shown in the app. Paid features are also subject to the Membership Agreement.

06. Privacy and device storage

The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Messages, relevant conversation context and images you choose to send are transmitted to OpenRouter and its model providers to generate AI responses. Locally stored settings, conversations and other app data may be lost when you clear app data, uninstall the app or lose access to your device. Clearing local data does not itself cancel a Google Play subscription.

07. Availability and changes

We may maintain, update or change features to improve the service or address technical, security or legal needs. Where required by applicable law or purchase terms, we will provide notice and available remedies for material changes to paid services. Availability may depend on your device and internet connection.

08. Restrictions and ending use

You may stop using Cotiva at any time. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks or legal requirements. Subscription cancellation must be completed separately through Google Play. Mandatory refund and consumer rights remain available.

09. Responsibility and your rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis and uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. The mandatory protections of the law applicable to you continue to apply.

10. Updates and contact
